Stump Block Printing

Ms. Walker’s kindergarten took the idea of “perspective” this trimester and applied it to all the different ways and perspectives through which a redwood tree can be viewed. In the Maker Space, we used redwood stumps to create stamps to better understand tree growth and age while learning basic block printing techniques. Each student made their own block print to bring home and together they created beautiful and artistic pieces to share for their project presentation day.
